Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

1 day per week at $150 per hour. Boxelder Job Corps Center is a job training campus for young adults in the Black Hills. Provide primary care at its health clinic one weekday per week (8 hours, flexible Monday to Friday), starting December 15, 2026.

What you will do

• Provide primary care to students ages 16 to 24 during scheduled clinic days.
• Complete intake physicals for new students and create treatment plans.
• Treat acute illness, manage chronic conditions and support family planning.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled medications.
• Refer students to outside care as needed and keep private health records.
• Give a short monthly health report to center leadership.
• Work with center wellness staff and counselors, and join team meetings when asked.

What you need

• Active, unrestricted South Dakota NP or PA license and South Dakota DEA registration including Schedule II.
• Malpractice coverage of at least $1 million.
• NPs: 1,040 practice hours or a collaborative agreement.
• PAs: NCCPA certified, with the South Dakota collaborative agreement exemption on file (6,000+ practice hours).
• Background check required.

Nice to have

• Experience working with disadvantaged young adults (ages 16 to 24).
• Training in adolescent health, trauma-informed care or substance use.

Pay and schedule

• Pay: $150 per hour.
• Schedule: 1 day per week, 8 hours, flexible Monday to Friday; starts December 15, 2026.
• Where: on site at the Boxelder Job Corps Center health clinic, Nemo, SD.
• Type: part-time.
